Types of styles for your wedding!

Strolling Magic (walk around magic) and Magic at Guests’ tables.

The two most popular forms of wedding magic are: stand-up or strolling close-up magic and table magic. Let’s break down these two styles of magic for more understanding. During stand-up receptions, the magician strolls and mingles with guests. Whereas for a sit-down lunch or dinner, the magician entertains the guests at their table. The performance may be a short mini-show with a series of magic effects to make the experience personal to the whole table.

The Perfect Icebreaker

When mingling with the guests, or visiting them at their tables, a magician with true experience knows how to break the ice by creating a conversation around the close-up magic performance the magician gives.  It is interesting to know that this lingers on between the guests well after the magician is done with the performance and has left that group of people to move on to another group. Recollections by Brian Role` – Wedding Magician Malta

2020 is a year of reflections and recollections for me. The long break due to the situation (Covid-19) is giving me time to look back, reflecting on experiences encountered during these past 20 years.

I feel lucky to be able to perform for weddings not only in Malta and Gozo but around the world. It is amazing how people find and chose me for their events in faraway countries. People have seen me performing my close-up magic in venues like the JW Marriot in Mumbai, the Emirates Towers in Dubai, the Ritz Carton in Qatar, most of Europe, and aboard cruise ships. As a magician In Malta and Gozo, I have performed in all the wedding venues across the islands. During all these years I have never encountered a wedding that was exactly the same as another. To say every wedding is unique, is true! A Wedding may be at the same venue, have the same band, and have the same food as others. But what really makes a wedding different is the people and atmosphere. This is what makes performing at weddings exciting for me. It always feels like a new experience and that is why I enjoy performing close-up magic during weddings. Apart from entertaining people with my magic, I get to share amazing experiences. These experiences remain vivid for a long time after the event.
